About the race
The Mader Port to Pub with Hotel Rottnest is a quintessential West Australian sporting event in which swimmers cross the iconic Rottnest Channel. It is a community-focused and driven event, proudly holding the title of a WOWSA 'Event of the Year' Bronze Medal winner and being part of the Australian Triple Crown of Marathon Swimming.
The swim starts from Leighton Beach in front of the Fremantle Surf Lifesaving Club and finishes at the shores of Rottnest Island, right in front of Hotel Rottnest. It is an adventure that brings together solo swimmers, duos, and teams for a journey across the channel, culminating in celebrations and presentations at the hotel.
