Where to stay

Peschiera offers a variety of options ranging from charming boutique hotels situated along the historic harbor to traditional camping sites nestled directly on the lakefront. For a more local experience, converted fisherman's residences in the old town are highly sought after. Prices typically range from 90 to 220 EUR per night depending on proximity to the Venetian walls and the season. Booking in advance is recommended as the race weekend draws significant crowds to the town center.

Things to do nearby

The area is ideal for exploring the lake's unique biodiversity, including the glacial Laghetto del Frassino and its migratory bird populations. Visitors can rent kayaks or SUPs to navigate the canals of the fortified town or take short trips to local vineyards for Valpolicella wine tastings. Trekking paths along the Mincio river offer a quiet contrast to the intensity of the race, while the sanctuary of the Madonna del Frassino provides a glimpse into the region's deep-rooted cultural and religious history.
